Touchdown with the Falcons

If you don’t already know, the Atlanta Falcons is a popular professional football team that calls our city home. This staple Atlanta sports team joined the NFL in 1965, where they’ve called our city home for over half a century. Since their humble beginnings, the team has won six division championships, most recently in 2012, and 2016, and has even made it to two super bowls. The team calls the Mercedes-Benz Stadium home, which opened at the top of the 2017 season, where it welcomes die-hard fans to come and witness the adrenaline-packed games throughout the season.

The One and Only Atlanta Braves

If you like baseball, you’ll love the Atlanta Braves! Originally founded in 1871, the professional baseball team moved around several times before finally calling Atlanta home in 1966. Since moving to the metropolitan city, the team played at the Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium until 1996, when it moved to Turner Field. In 2017, the team moved one last time, where it now calls Truist Park, home. Throughout its lengthy history, which includes 10 name changes, and 138 seasons, the Atlanta Braves is proud to say that they hold three World Series Championships and strives to win another in the coming seasons.

The Resilient Atlanta Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks is a professional basketball team that also calls our city home. Originally founded in 1946, the talented team can be traced back to the guise of the Buffalo Bisons of Buffalo, New York. Relocating to three different cities before calling Atlanta home, the Hawks moved to our city in 1968 where they’ve made a home ever since. Playing at the State Farm Arena, the Hawks won their one and only championship in 1958, but that hasn’t stopped them from striving. In 2015, they made it to the playoffs, and fully intend on wearing a championship ring in the coming seasons.

Home to the Most Valuable Soccer Team

Atlanta United is a professional American soccer team that competes in the Major Soccer League (MLS). Founded in 2014, Atlanta United is a young team but packs the punch of legends. Sharing its home stadium, the Mercedes-Benz Stadium with the Falcons, the new soccer team began as an expansion team in 2017, but by 2018 had earned one of the largest fan bases in MLS. Not to be trifled with, the popular soccer team was ranked by Forbes as the most popular team in the league, and also the most valuable–worth approximately $500 million.
