2023 Toyota Crown Performance Highlights

In what is a first for Toyota, the Crown features two hybrid systems. The new 2.4-liter turbo-4 Hybrid Max System (HMS) produces 340 horsepower and includes on-demand all-wheel drive. The Hybrid Max powertrain Crown features Eco, Normal, Sport, and EV driving modes for intervals of electric driving.

The second hybrid system is the next generation Toyota Hybrid System (THS). The 236 horsepower 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine (front and rear motors) moves power to all four wheels. It offers the same driving modes as the HMS, but swaps out the EV mode for Sport+, Comfort and Custom modes.
